I love people photography. Capturing expressions and reflecting the mood of a scene in the faces, actions and poses is a great and rewarding challenge.
Getting out on the street and catching life in action and people going about their lives creates some awesome images that capture light and mood.
Places
I have had the opportunity to travel to many places around the world and record different aspects of life across different cultures. I have really only started to scratch the surface and sometimes it is just as important to get the camera out and walk around my own home streets as to prepare for the next overseas trip.
Just get out and shoot - the only way to expand vision and further improve the craft.
Capturing the Underwater World
Diving challenges the photographer as the environment has its own idiosyncrasies to master, and lens swaps, tripods etc. are completely out of the question.
While traditionally the photos revolve around shots of interesting and rare critters, the challenge is often to get a good compositional moment, where even the banal can produce a visually stimulating image.
