I entered a series of images in to the photography competition at the local regional show in Cairns.
I was very fortunate to have grabbed this wonderful urban-scape shot while in Hong Kong recently, and this was awarded First Place in its section as well as the best monochrome image and ultimately the Grand Champion Image of Show.
It was certainly a successful competition with a third place in the colour landscapes section also resulting in receiving the Champion Photographer of Show trophy.
Persistence does pay off in the end !!
It also leaves a higher standard to exceed :)
